Commissions for US exchanges are charged on a per share basis

Example – Buy 1,000 shares @ $25. Your Monthly Share Volume is less than 300,000, you fall in the row 1:

Commission = 1,000 × $0.0035 = $3.50 (>$0.35 minimum).
